Though dancing has been a spiritual practice and celebration for as long as human memory can recall, Ecstatic Dance in its modern iteration is a fruit of the 60s, with its birthplace in California. This now global phenomenon is unique in that it is a sober, non-verbal dancefloor, allowing individuals to connect more deeply with themselves, and with others. The Ecstatic Dance DJs create a journey by pulling from a wide variety of music genres and tempos inviting the participants to explore movement as it naturally arises: there are no steps to follow but your own.
